when was there ever not a meritocracy? I've gotten jobs my whole life by being better than the others. I'm a 58YO woman. Meaning I did that when job misogyny was out in the open.

He has NEVER gotten a job being better/more skilled or competent than the others. Not once.

these ppl went straight to US talking heads. And lost me, right there. A US offer was made to transport the birds to Florida, all costs covered. So this is not about saving the birds.
