In 2023-24 HMRC issued 456 penalties to wealthy individuals for £5.8m, 25 prosecuted.

Tax scams designed by accountants, lawyers; five prosecutions in 2023-2024.

Govt taking powers to snoop on benefit claimants' bank accounts; mainly poor, old, sick. Nothing equivalent on tax abuse industry.
Nothing will change until the political system is freed from the clutches of corporations and the super-rich
The law is being used to enforce existing power structures for the benefit of the few

Jail all those cunts!
It would be funny, if it wasn't tragic, reading this from four years ago about the 'independent' expert who wrote the report into purported leftwing bias at the BBC. It's just embarrassingly amateur - but it works because the Government is awol. www.theguardian.com/media/2021/n...

This will be capitalism downfall. The system eats itself in a big bubble, violence explodes and the earth’s ecosystem collapses.

How can any politician look at this chart and still be in doubt as to where the higher taxes should come from?

Hey @reformuk.bsky.social voters. If you still vote for the thug Forage and his corrupt chancers, don’t come crying afterwards.

In the past, countries interfered with elections secretly and quietly. With Trump it’s now ok to commit electoral crimes. See Argentina. What will bring the USA down is not its politicians but the capital warlords it serves. Those people belong in prison.

Argentinians like corrupt governments. It’s clear the USA want a strategic partner in South America to fight China’s rise. The Argentine will pay the price.

Farage “will argue that the heroic liberation dream was traduced by cowardice in the implementation but even that puts him in complicity with disappointment. Simpler to change the subject”

So, don’t let him. His lies got us into this mess. Only truth gets us out.

The U.S. judicial system isn’t broken—it’s doing exactly what it was built to do: protect capital. Judges serve “the rule of law,” but that law was written by and for the owning class. Justice is just the velvet glove over the iron fist of private property.
