My children went to public school in your district their entire lives. Active shooter drills were a bigger concern than food allergies - But you did nothing about that in your 4 decades.

Of course they did, and as someone who's been in front of many juries as an attorney I'll tell you why: jurors hate government overreach more than anything, and this case was such a blindingly obvious instance of serious government overreach that everyone associated with it should probably be fired.
