Posts Media Videos Starter Packs
so you’re telling me that when I stay inside all day and only get indirect sunlight I develop a vitamin D deficiency, but when my books stay inside all day and only get indirect sunlight they yellow significantly. make it make sense
no other media franchise is operating on Digimon’s level
i love how no one before 2022 ever realized that the fundamental model of the internet was giving stuff away for free until it gained enough traction to insert ads into
was pretty disappointed when I realized a book I’d seen widely described as incredibly dense and academic was just a novel (with a very casual YA tone) that happened to be set in college. only a tiny bit horrified by what this means for how we as a whole discuss “difficult” media.
but also, as a content creator, it seems so obvious that you need to create content that provides some kind of unique, valuable service to have any chance of it landing and finding an audience. variety steaming seems like such hubris, because it’s betting on a personality being that valuable service
almost all the videos/podcasts I consume are because they offer something specific or valuable: information, interesting analysis, a critical review, a novel perspective, etc.

I can’t wrap my head around watching stuff just to hang out, when there’s so much incredibly rich stuff out there
recently watched a video from a creator I used to follow which, among other things, talked about how difficult it was going from being a gacha-game-specific creator to a general variety streamer

thinking about that made me realize why I just can’t get myself to care about streaming as a whole
if only we had a word to describe people who are anti-anti-fascist
“katsuki” funkopop vibes
it seems like CR still messed up a ton here because these new subs AREN’T user-configurable, so it’s currently a downgrade in every aspect.

but if they fix that & do enable it, there are legitimate accessibility concerns with hardcoded subs that standardized (user-configurable) captions address
I think one big thing that this misses is that there IS actually one big pro-consumer argument for standardizing subtitles over bespoke text hard-encoded into video files: allowing the user to customize size & style to their liking
I know I’m 3 years late to this, but I was baffled to realize Cyberpunk Edgerunners was hetero Promare

The amount of time between the announcement and release of Metroid Prime 4 is longer than the amount of time between the announcement of Metroid Prime 1 and the release of Metroid Prime 3.
wow this is newton’s 3rd law slander
excited for every beginner-friendly grid to use something that requires 750 drops from high-end raids
do I actually want to get selected for jury duty or am I just nostalgic for The Good Wife
the irony of spreading early leaks for series that have extremely affordable(/free) and accessible simulpubs being the one form of manga piracy I find absolutely morally despicable and that being the only form of manga piracy I actually see on an extremely regular basis

Part of me worries because I’m not really familiar with anything else he’s done series composition for (www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia...), but also Savers/Data Squad is probably my favorite Digimon series so this gives me lots of hope
Yamaguchi Ryota will be in charge of the series composition for Digimon Beatbreak. He previously served the same role for Digimon Savers, in addition to being its screenwriter.
