Basil has been cultivated by humans for at least 5,000 years as far as archaeobotany can determine.
Agostino Reghitto Italian basil is a family heirloom that’s only a century old by comparison, but the flavor is timeless 🌱💚

So, basically, Poilievre’s new campaign video boils down to (a) assuming all Canadians are stupid (b) he’s mad he can’t understand the big words Carney uses and (c) he’s too uneducated and stupid to do his job versus a smart PM.

AI-related data centres use vast amounts of water. But gauging how much is a murky business

As tech companies spend billions on data centres, citizens around the world are starting to push back

AI uses too much electricity and water and should have their own grids, dams

Thirsty AI data centres are coming to Canada, with little scrutiny or oversight | CBC News
Canada is poised to join the data centre boom. But as such projects face greater scrutiny around the world, there is little debate here about what this will mean for the country’s water.

On radio just now I lost it over Poilievre’s “war zones” comments. It’s not about if I’ve ever liked him as fellow panelists pointed out. It’s about Pierre lying about Canada when we are under threat and making it easier for Trump to divide us amongst ourselves. Shame on him! 🇨🇦

Question:

TACO has been in office for more than six months,

and has yet to even mention the “concepts” of this health plan.

We know the GOP plans to gut the ACA with no other plan on the horizon.

Where do we go from here?

We have too few players…the ‘big three’ conglomerates should be told to break up. It is ridiculous that three companies basically control most of our food supply.

Between this and things like HP trying to switch home printers to a subscription model, I feel like the future is everything you own is actually just rented, but also all of it appropriates data from you. I'm starting to think "eat the rich" might be too moderate.

Conducting a live fire exercise over a civilian highway is fucking stupid.

It doesn’t really matter if I-5 fell within the minimum acceptable risk threshold for the exercise. Those standards are designed for controlled environments, not civilian highways.

Luckily, I married a mechanic! I didn't know until that article that there are no regulations/minimum qualifications on who CT hires for mechanic work, that's crazy!

My sister once had her winter tires installed at Canadian tire and one wheel fell off in the Décarie Blvd in Montreal and needless today, it's not a great place to lose a tire 🛞

The new generation of mechanics at car dealerships are mostly useless too
