Took a quick day trip this weekend from Wells to Portland on the Amtrak Downeaster and got to see the Wells Area Improvement Project construction progress at the WRTC, plus some '01 inaugural train trip nostalgia

#musicchallenge What's an album whose most popular song is also its worst, musically? I'll offer Duke, which is an excellent album and in my Top 3 by Genesis, but "Misunderstanding" is the relatively weak link (still not a terrible song though)

For taxpayers, every piece of cycling infrastructure is a gift that keeps on giving.

An asset that returns annual savings in congestion, pollution, maintenance, safety and healthcare over its lifetime.

Stop asking whether your city can afford to invest in cycling. Ask whether it can afford not to.

Took a golden hour walk around the Old Port while in Portland this week. It was cool and windy but well worth it

Fitchburg Cutoff Bikepath last weekend. This area in Cambridge, near Alewife Station, is one of New England's best hubs for regional shared use path connections + transit

Still kind of in shock and not sure what to say. But thank you Jays for going above and beyond expectations and putting in a truly memorable season.

Baseball is so great you guys. It's also terrible and mean and no one should love it because it will snap your heart in half. But it's so great.

That is just a devastating way to end the game. Just really tough to watch.

Well, forget about it, Jays. Bounce back tomorrow, like you've done so many times

I love kids. I have two of them. They’re amazing. However, kids are the absolute least self aware, clumsiest little puffins on the planet.

Please don’t drive tonight unless you have to, and if you do drive, drive super slow and pay 100% attention at all times.

Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻 💀

Just streamed the documentary "From Rails To Trails" on @pbs.org and WOW is it an amazing slice of American history and transportation advocacy. Highly recommend. @railstotrails.org work is such an embodiment of how good things don't just happen -- we have to organize & fight for them. Check it out

"Rudy" is my favorite Supertramp song. Underrated, as it's probably in the bottom half of songs by popularity just on its own album (Crime of the Century)

We love reading about cargo bikes full of kids, especially when @npr.org's coverage includes amazing photos from DC's 8th Street NE Cycletrack segment of the East Coast Greenway!
Why more parents are riding cargo bikes, skipping the minivan
Many parents are now are forgoing minivans for greener alternatives: cargo bikes. They have been around for decades, but the advent of the electric bike motor has made them much more popular.

I still can't fully believe the Blue Jays made it to the World Series! Just... wow. What a game. What a series. Tip of the hat to the Mariners for how hard they fought

A disappointing ending, but what a season for the Brewers overall. A lot to be proud of and a lot to look forward to in the coming seasons

Listened to this album earlier today for the first time in a while and was reminded that it's one of those albums that I enjoy from the first song through the last.

My dream of a Jays-Brewers World Series is slipping away. Not sure how the Jays get back in the ALCS, but, for one, they need to figure out how to barrel up more of those sliders, splitters, & sinkers that Ms pitchers attack the zone with.
