Hey, Columbus and Franklin County, OH - here are a few food resources you may need, or know someone who does (and with 1 in 8 Americans receiving benefits that expire in 35 hours or so... you do know someone who does)
Oh, the number of movies I’ve watched that start with similar scenarios…
A truckload of rhesus monkeys from Tulane university escaped after a crash. The university warned they’re highly aggressive toward humans and infected with hepatitis C, herpes, and COVID.
Monkeys on the loose after truck overturns in Heidelberg; public urged to call 911
A truck transporting monkeys from Tulane University overturned on I-59 near Heidelberg, with several monkeys reportedly on the loose posing health risks.

My Christmas shopping this year? Making donations to the food bank
If you have the means, please consider donating money to your local food bank. If you are in Columbus, OH, mid-ohio food bank is a good one that has consistently helped our extended family and friends over the years. In just a handful of days things will get dire for the people who need it.

saw this clip of the NYC mayor debate and i had tears in my eyes, perhaps the most insane section of any debate ever
I was there - gave me as much joy as the show six years ago.
I really dug the opening act too!
I’ve always thought people retrospectively remembering the movie Cry Freedom coming out is what lead to why we call it “The Mandela Effect”

Miss you *HUG* will have to catch up soon
I haven’t felt like posting much lately.
World is a little overwhelming.
I hop on meaning to post, but the first thing I always see is the next awful headline and I lose the vibe.
But I can’t curate myself completely away from the world.
So, only an unintentional lurker.
So the tl;dr is Charlie Kirk’s life’s work essentially turned out to be building his own shooter?

If you’ve never seen it, Ganja and Hess is magnificent. Check it out.
In my day, we said she was Canadian…
one of the things that confuses me about the seeming enthusiasm for AI girlfriends among a segment of young men is that when I was young you would have been relentlessly, brutally mocked for the idea of being such a failure with women that your girlfriend was on the computer

This was the order of events:

1. Paramount acceded to Trump’s extortion by paying a bribe.

2. Stephen Colbert calls his employer out for doing that.

3. Paramount fires Stephen Colbert for being honest about Trump.

4. Proving Trump’s bribe worked.
Someone finally says no to Lynda, yet it all works out in the end.
I imagine she engineered it somehow. She used to be No. 1, manipulating No. 6 in The Village, didn’t she?
My brain is gonna run with the idea The Prisoner was actually The Archers from a different character’s viewpoint… 😵‍💫
Every complaint about him that makes national media feels both forced, astroturfed attempts by establishment figures who'd rather not deal with him, and halfhearted, like the troops on the ground aren't trying to sell the narrative.

‪BREAKING: ICE agents are complaining that every time they go out to abduct people, in unmarked cars, wearing masks and no uniforms or badges, protesters dump buckets of glitter on them so that everyone can tell they’re ICE for days afterward.

I simply do not tire of looking at this
I don't know who should be more appalled - me when I realized just how massive an amount of money I spent at Target every year, or Target because WAAAAY more people than me dropped them over continual corporate cowardice... and, yes, tarrifs.
CNN: "Breaking just moments ago. New data showing consumers cut back spending sharply last month ... this does appears to at least partially be driven by a hangover from tariffs."

President Trump said that he had no plans to call Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota after a man assassinated a state lawmaker there and wounded another over the weekend.

"I think the governor of Minnesota is so whacked out, I’m not calling him," Trump told reporters.

I’ve seen hundreds of clips from Columbus pride and all the No Kings protests.
These are the first DC photos I’ve seen today… and, yeah, looks about right.
About an hour until parade start time in D.C., and there are plenty of prime viewing spots wide open, particularly toward the beginning of the route.
Hope this becomes a trend - there’s a lot of protests tomorrow
New Yorkers scream out each officer’s lawsuits against them for excessive force and more upon their city, right to their faces while protesting.
Birds of a feather!
