You should never cook a steak in butter because it’ll burn. Use a high smoke point oil to sear it, lock in flavors on medium high heat.
Once it’s close to the temp you want put the heat to medium-low and throw in butter and crushed garlic and baste until the butter is brown.

You can def be open/poly and still cheat.
I also wish people would stop saying an open relationship or ethical non-monogamy are structural ways for partners to have a pass when it comes to infidelity (emotional or physical cheating)—That’s not what it does and I wish people can think open-minded about the intimacy benefit of it.
