Kudos to Rebecca for leading this charge! Lynn's data is an embarrassment to the scientific enterprise. The skull measurers on Twitter are having a predictable response with the repeated claim that "other data replicate" Lynn's results.

Retraction Watch has covered the problem of the “national IQ” database. Should be noted I’m far from alone in working to remove these publications. Any honest HBD race scientists out there? No one gets "canceled" for saying "IQ is above 0% heritable." That's Psychology 101. Claims in favor of genetic ethnic differences in IQ are another matter. HBDers knowingly conflate within- and between-group IQ genetic claims to hoodwink their audience.

A fascinating aspect of social media is that someone who blocked you years ago, and continues to block, can talk about something you supposedly "told" him about IQ prediction ("prediction" = correlation, not cause).

So there you have it, twin study estimates were greatly inflated, and molecular data sets the record straight. I walk through possible counter-arguments, but ultimately the uncomfortable truth is that genes contribute to traits much less than we always thought.

🧬 Let’s do a GWAS on zip code. Say, the first two digits are 70 (my choice). You will likely get some correlations if the sample is large enough. What percentage of the variance explained will you get for the SNPs for “70” zip code? Say it’s 10% even with your PCA’s. Is “70” zip code genetic? Now…

The decades-old Danish schizophrenia adoption studies by Seymour Kety and colleagues are still widely cited. Yet, the genetic findings from these studies were based on deceptive (p-hacked) research practices. My latest detailed description of one aspect of this deception.
