Congratulations to @lucympowell.bsky.social, Labour's new deputy leader.

This sends a clear signal that Labour members want to see a change of direction.

We can't out-Reform Reform. We can be more Labour.

Nigel Farage doesn’t think the Prime Minister should have free speech in this country. But he’ll tell foreigners that yours is somehow under threat from the Prime Minister. He’s a whiny little liar. Always has been. Always will be.

Ed Davey, "I'm afraid Nigel Farage should be apologising for helping cause this problem in the first place"

"Before Brexit we didn't have a small boats problem because we had 27 return agreements with EU countries and we could return people"

-Maybe we should call them Farage's Brexit Boats

I possibly shouldn't have laughed. But I laughed very hard.

Starmer’s decision to go all in with Trump might be about keeping him onside and supporting Ukraine but I still hate the fact he’s butt kissing a sexual predator 🫠🫠

Tomorrow's front page 📰

Is sharing this image a crime?
Is Lucy Powell MP doing any campaigning? It’s like the wheels of power are only trying to highlight Starmer’s pick for DL…
BWM…what if this was the plan all along? Labour needed to make unpopular & difficult decisions relating mainly to public finances. What if Starmer always was the fall guy? When he is forced to step aside and a new leader takes control they can be seen to bring the country back? Wishful thinking? 😅
The choice for Labour Deputy Leader is extremely weak! Two (imo) fairly uncharismatic people who won’t have the cut through Labour desperately needs.
I’ll vote Powell simply to hold Starmer accountable. No point voting for a Starmer loyalist if you want Labour to refocus on its core principles.
I’m a life long Labour supporter and voter. But the sheer incompetence of Lambeth Labour means I’m looking at voting @lambethlibdems.bsky.social in May 2026
Lambeth Council and SERCO failing to keep streets clean. I have been asking for weeks about the state of my street and the inadequate bin storage that the houses have. I have sent so much evidence. And all I get back is “the street has been cleaned” the Council haven’t even stepped foot here…

This is brilliant 👏🏼
I both agree and disagree with you. But maybe I’m just foolish. I’m holding out hope that the comms strategy is both weak and none existent at times rather than this govt being Tory Lite
Oh lord 🫠🫠 why have we, since 2016, always fall into the trap of appeasing the right wing gammons of this country? It baffles me greatly!!
God help us all if this is who the Leadership is listening to!
The sad reality is I will become politically homeless. I can’t see myself voting for LibDems (economically careful centrists just like Starmerism) and the Greens are just ReformUK for the left.
And before anyone says ‘Vote Reform’ they’re a far right party that praised the economics of Liz Truss…
Fair play. Although I want to not give up hope 😅
Silver Lining: Lisa Murkowski just handed the Dems a huge victory today for 2026?
I fear you’re correct. There are some very good and experienced MPs in Labour but I’m so confused at the direction they’re taking! Baffled actually!!
Labour need a complete new comms strategy. But first they need to actually decide what their vision is and then work on the messaging. It’s becoming harder and harder to voice my support for a party I’m a member of 🫠
As a Labour supporter this is where I am at. I’m giving Labour 2 years to make real change and for people to feel positive change in their lives. They’re 50% of the way through that time.
@teamlabouruk.bsky.social need a complete reset and actually communicate their vision to the country!
Labour need a complete reset after this. They need to work out what they are in government for and what the people that are likely to support them in 2029 want. It most definitely is not more shambles like this.
