How I became interested in Ghost Hunting, a 🧵

I always tell the story of how I got into ghost hunting. Years ago, I was dating a girl at the beginning of the Ghost Hunters craze, about 2005ish. She got really into and I thought it was bonkers dumb, but I loved her so who cares. She tells me her family owns a large plot of land with a haunted house and if I'd like to record it over night to see if we pick up anything. The Location Schulember, Texas is located halfway between Houston and San Antonio. The girlfriends family owned a huge tract of land there, acres upon acres. We arrived that morning to get an early start and explore the land so I could get familiar with it. The entirety of the land was fenced, as rural Texas owners are want to do, across the entirety of its boundaries. Well, that's a wrap. All that's left is the epilogue.
Valeria’s two hands gripped her blade near to her face, the lengthy blade cutting ahead of her as she burst through wall of light after wall of light, the air around her exploding into glittering fragments that shone with the sun. It was then that their eyes met for the final time, his pinned open wide in horror, the light leaving them in the final instant. Hers, full of determination, and the fire that burned in her veins. And then she was at his side, her foot dragging along the soil as she came to a halt, her head bowed low as she stopped on one knee. His limp body tilted backward as her blade burned through his stomach, blood flowing along her blade and spilling onto the ground as he began to slide backward. She retreated, her blade retracting and leaving him on his feet only for a second, before he finally collapsed onto the earth.
