“I’m not so sure he’s mad, Father. Just a little devious in his sanity.”
Just saw Bugonia. Very good, both dark and funny, and totally WTF.

It would be a very useful addition to BlueSky to show the country of origin of accounts. I’ll be a whole load of those stupid ResistLib accounts that repost lib ragebait will turn out to be run a long way from the United States.
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

I hate how every nation is living down to its stereotype because I’m trained to look for complexity in things, yet the USA is run by a caricature of crony capitalism that Soviet propaganda would consider too unsubtle, Russia is run by a Bond villain, the UK is speedrunning Children of Men, etc.

Lol.
Starship B18 (the first V3 flight vehicle) seemed to have suffered a anomaly during its first cryo test, and a sudden release of the gas could be seen on
NASASpaceflight cameras. While we do not know what happened, it remains what the future holds for B18, and if it is able to fly

Isn't this basically the United Kingdom?
reality show called 'We Can Always Tell' where you drop terfs on an island and tell them that one of them is secretly trans. every episode they have to vote on who it is and obsessively transvestigate one another - her height! her forehead! she's suspiciously perfect, it's surgery! they are all cis

This assumes there is a single level of inflation, which is false. If you’re on minimum wage and your rent has doubled in the last few years, you see very different inflation from a homeowner whose groceries are more expensive.
Weird thing: the UK minimum wage has risen against inflation for years. It's now really high. Millions of people are earning more than they were as a direct result of this policy. And the impact on the vibes of the country is… entirely absent?

I wonder how long the Nvidia hopium will be effective for. My guess is about 2-3 days.

the actual suicide of the West will be combining a rapidly aging population with hostility to migrants. however we must give credit to East Asia, especially Japan, for pioneering this model.

Why do residents need to “consent” to development? Do they think they get a veto over change?
Bayside residents are rallying against plans to introduce buildings up to 16 storeys in the area.

Residents marching in Brighton on Sunday argued the ill-conceived plan would overrun their suburbs’ population without adequate infrastructure or their consent.

I've been collecting pandemic era signs that nobody can be bothered to take down or remove. There's something grimly fascinating about this. Putting them up was urgent and important; removing them is nobody's job. How long will some of these hang around?

Credit to the SMH for finding out and publishing the identities of the Sydney nazis. Good to see actual journalism is still done from time to time.

The word you want here is lustration. Look it up.
I’ve come to believe that we need to gather considerable forces and a campaign to demand the removal of face masks by ICE, Border Patrol, FBI and police.

It is a practice in conflict with the principles of transparency & accountability that are central to the concept of democracy.
Video on social media shows an immigration agent pulling a gun in Little Village and holding it to the side — which is not an appropriate or safe way to hold a gun. (Among other issues.)
