Even though you didn’t make the list, I still think you’re radical, brother.

Possibly uploaded a screenshot for a different post?

To which I will confidently reply, ¿Qué hora es?

Good stuff. Love the snap on that snare.

Point taken.
Unfortunately, in this post Burge doesn’t provide the precise wording for either the survey question or responses.

Just throwing this into the mix:

I dunno. If self-identity matters in this discussion, looks like African Americans take the lead by a long shot.

A February 2025 screenshot of a post from author and statistician Ryan Burge documenting the racial makeup of people who self-identify as evangelical:

“What racial group is most likely to self-identify as evangelical?
Black people, and it's not even close.
In 2022, 44% of African-Americans said that they were evangelical.
It was only 25% of Whites and Hispanics.
Just 15% of Asians.”

To further muddy the waters, there has been some definitional drift with the word “evangelical” in the past few years as it takes on a more overt political connotation. See @ryanburge.bsky.social’s data on this. For example: x.com/ryanburge/st...
A screenshot of a 2024 post from the hellscape formerly known as Twitter where author and statistician Ryan Burge shares the results of a survey that demonstrates the wide range of religious affiliations of people who self identify as evangelical:

“Share who self-identify as evangelical based on political partisanship
Democrat vs Republican
Jewish: 3% vs 9%
Muslim: 11% vs 32%
Buddhist: 6% vs 16%
Hindu: 10% vs 18%
These partisan gaps replicate in other surveys, as well.
It could be random survey error, but probably not.”

Slightly tangential, but a play on the tension between automaticity and reading comprehension. Spotted a few years ago in Berkeley, California.
A photograph of a sign with the text:
PRIVATE SIGN
DO NOT READ
VIOLATORS WILL BE PROSECUTED
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW

Chuckle. Based on the garbled enunciation in that track, I thought maybe they were Finnish or something. As it turns out, they are from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Great start to a three day weekend.

Actually, a daily battle for me- don’t let them eat the delight.

they're coming through wardrobes, folks, and they're coming over through portals on train platforms and schoolyard walls, and by using rings of various colors, and they're saying "oh bother" and "by Jove" and they're taking over narnia folks and eating all the turkish delight, they eat the delight

So, “Jazz Sabbath” is not exactly a novelty act as the name would imply. Now I feel embarrassed for posting that goofy Metallica drivel.

I don’t have Spotify, so while I excuse myself to look them up, here’s a classic smooth jazz song for your listening pleasure:

The comments on YouTube are…not Bluesky.
So many people concerned that the driver of the black SUV is on the wrong side of the road, missing the bigger picture about ICE agents being on the wrong side of history.

is it not weird that every day there’s a new video of anonymous masked men having the time of their lives beating/shooting/disappearing people and the dem response from the top down is “republicans want to double your health insurance premiums”

To be honest, I left more than 20 years ago, and I can’t imagine living there ever again.

I dunno, I’m a Portland native, and I’m pretty darn based or whatever the opposite of cringe is, if I do say so myself.

I haven’t seen a comment from the airline in any of the reports/discussions on this. Surely they have a perspective on why the tickets were cancelled.

To me the thing that is so infuriating about this is that I teach high school students who have vastly greater critical thinking skills and are far more politically astute than any of the three speakers from this clip 😡

“Have you given any more thought to suspending habeas corpus?”

TRUMP: “Suspending who?” 🤷🏼

Aaand scene.

Thanks, man. Made me chuckle 👋🐶
