This chart is helpful ... I guess? One thing this thread has made clear is that people's extremely intense opinions about AI are not the outgrowth of a clear understanding.
Im definitely oversimplifying the science, but its a subset-set relationship. A (an?) LLM is a set of machine learning decision-making algorithms

I love looking behind-the-scenes of animation. And this time it's Bluey which is near and dear to my heart.

Back in the day, Twitter used to be really good if I set up a thread to connect freelancers with clients. Let's see if Bluesky can do it.

I experiemented with a widefield image of the Carina area using a Sigma 105mm DG HSM Art at f2, ZWO ASI2600MC Pro, and ZWO AM5. This was two hours (24x300 seconds) with an optolong l-ultimate. A good learning experience printing AF, tracking mounts, and other bits and pieces.

Well, hello there. Hope everyone stays safe and tries not to buy up all the water and toilet paper, or at least shares some with their neighbors.

After a mosaic of a region of Vela, I pulled some crops of interesting subjects. I am enjoying the hunt for information regarding the Vela region and larger Gum Nebula.

Here’s a new blog about Design System team structure.

On the surface it looks like I’m suggesting you need 17 people.

Whisper: I’m actually suggesting you are expected to do 17 people’s work whatever the size of your team.

I attempted a 3x2 mosaic on the LMC at Figtree Country Retreat, QLD AU. Interesting target to go after for a mosaic and I think I will try again in a darker sky.

12x300 seconds per panel (3x2 mosaic)
6 hours total aquisition time

Going through some image backlog and found a session I did on the Lagoon Nebula last September out at Watts Bridge Memorial Airfield, QLD AU with 600 second subs. Here's a "quick" edit.

16x600 seconds with my trusty Redcat 51 + ZWO 2600MC.

Made a trip out to Figtree Country Retreat near Pittsworth QLD AU and managed to capture a few images at sunset of a dusted C2024 G3 ATLAS. The main image is a stack of 8 x 30 seconds f1.8 ISO 800 from a Nikon Z7 and Z 135mm Plena on my Benro Polaris.

Great post and hits on some of my own feelings towards React. I have worked with many diferent js frameworks / libraries and the React vibes are real. I also have some similar feelings towards Angular but the DX solved most of them at the time.
Things you forgot (or never knew) because of React joshcollinsworth.com/blog/antiqua...

This is a very good post that's worth your time to read. It has a good blend of history, valid criticism, credit-where-credit-is-due, and a fresh look at current front-end technologies.
Things you forgot (or never knew) because of React
If you don't often look beyond established comfortable defaults, you might be surprised to learn just how far the world of frontend has moved away from React, and how big that gap continues to grow.
