That's such a wonderful thing to read :) You're inspiring. I need to find my "why" of painting again, I've been missing it so much. I feel in many ways painting just became too ordinary, too much of a thing that you're just supposed to do - but that's not satisfying, it's a burden and dead weight.

Thank you Winton ❤️ That's how I've felt! Perspective makes you reflect on so many things that diluted and distracted.

But I do keep asking myself - what is it what makes the art mine? And how to reinforce it goind forward? I haven't expected this question to be so hard to answer all by yourself.

Thank you - trying to take it easy now. It's been about half a year of brokenness and burnout and I feel that's enough time passed (in some instances, wasted). I doubt I'm fully rested yet, but wallowing hasn't fixed me either.

Which is doubly heinous and double-thinky because cis female bodybuilders those people love so much, or even 'regular' sportswomen, are still othered and called too manly on the daily

Gonna be obnoxious but for the record there WAS a period about 10 years ago when female muscle art veered into "oops they're all dickgirls because muscles and dicks are hot (not trans tho because we're not queer)" territory but it's such an old grievance it feels artificially transplanted today
