If you're not 100% confident you can make it to her tutorial on visualising uncertainty, no doubt you won't want to miss Harriet Mason's talk on the ggdibbler package.

My nicest pen has my favorite ink: TWSBI Diamond stub with De Atramentis scented Cola ink.

There’s a certain peace to just unplugging and let the pen glide across the paper (or as my emo past called it “bleeding ink onto paper”)
But I never considered the possibility of using speech to text to get my physical writing onto the laptop, always used to type it out with my feeble 60wpm speed

That explains it, I’m just in
✨ maintenance mode ✨
Gonna start calling writing and editing ‘bulking’ and ‘cutting’ respectively

Been getting into sketching after being overloaded with work lately and my experience so far:

Tutorial: Draw a circle and add marks and details.

> Tries to draw a circle
> Realizes how bad I’m at drawing circles
> realizes now I’m bad at drawing circles AND faces.

PS: It’s a me problem
Our feature artist/tutorial for today is from the talented @KASIASLUPECKA
- Useful similes in here, particularly that CHAIN bottom left. See that tip ONCE, and use it in your drawing FOREVER! #gamedev #animationdev #characterdesign #conceptart #art

Someone on Threads noticed you can type any random sentence into Google, then add “meaning” afterwards, and you’ll get an AI explanation of a famous idiom or phrase you just made up. Here is mine

Can not emphasize this enough.

Write honestly, as a human would. Bring your style, your voice to the words that drip from your fingertips.

Put your work out to the world to see even if they do not read it.

Fear not the words that they say,
Fear the ideas that never see the light of day.
It struck a chord because it's true. As I write in More Than Words, the chief benefit of LLMs to writing (and teaching writing) is it forces us to examine what we value in writing. We should be building statues of the students who remain proud to be themselves & encourage others to join them.
Here’s an observation that’s closing in on 80k likes on twitter:

#30DayChartChallenge Day 4: Big or Small

Spent way too long thinking of the creative for this but it was fun showing how big the number of plastic bottles are compared to glass.
Writing custom force clusters and collisions in d3 force was spicy 🌶️
