I've been trying out JangaFX's IlluGen to make VFX for Paula. Honestly even though the tool still seems to be pretty early, holy shit, it is so fun to make assets with it.

Yeah thats a limitation right now, I did get a 64 columns on 1 line, but you would need to re-scale out of the tool.

I've noted this down for something for us to fix: Custom resolutions for flipbooks i.e 256x16k pixels
8x8 3D noise in that case. Would you actually use something like 64x64?
Which if its slices, you can actually already export a 3D texture as a 2D flipbook basically since we project the noise, you just un-project it in engine via slices.
We currently have 3D noise that we project into 2D. But 3D noise itself is coming as an export type. I'll make sure to note it for prioritizing a bump up on the feature list. Do you have a usual export format? Single image of the slices?
IlluGen is built specifically for VFX artists in games. Designer is not. Our hope is that you'll be able to make 95% of all 2D and 3D assets with IlluGen only vs 5 - 8 other tools.
