Just want to say that @gabrielhardman.bsky.social new mini-series, Arcadia (DC Comics' Black Label imprint) is some beautiful work. The Question, Batman and Green Arrow solve a mystery. A gritty pulpy 1980's throwback retro vibe. A call-back to Dennis O’Neil & Denys Cowan's Vic Sage Question.

The other night, viddied more of Lowell Dean's 2014 horror-comedy Wolf Cop. It is better than it has any right to be. Shot in Regina, Saskatchewan, and the surrounding area.

Watching Boots (Netflix). Features winsome actors (incl. lead Miles Heizer),
a banger early 1990's soundtrack, intrigue and fourth-wall breakages. Altho it's about US marines, as a former army reservist, I connect with the themes of basic training & brotherly bonding & loneliness.

JoAnna Mendoza is a queer former USMC drill instructor, like in the new Netflix show “Boots” (that Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon called “woke garbage”), and she’s running for Congress in Arizona.

My latest at @comicsjournal.bsky.social: I talked to @oglaf.bsky.social! Not the character, but rather, the people who create it.

They don't do many interviews, so this was a real treat. They're funny people! Turns out they're not super private, just...really bad at PR?
