The good news is that people are more open to socialism than ever.
This kind of openly racist rhetoric is more evidence of the ongoing organic crisis in the U.S. The worse things get the more people are open to this kind of nationalism and xenophobia and Trump knows it. Without a fierce and unapologetic socialist alternative, we're in big trouble.

Zohran Mamdani told NBC’s Kristen Welker he wants Hakeem Jeffries to stay Dem leader & become Speaker if Dems win House. On Fri., Jeffries was 1 of 86 Democrats who backed a GOP-led res. “condemning socialism.” Mamdani also opposed fellow dem socialist Chi Ossé’s primary challenge against Jeffries.

Mamdani is effectively helping Trump rehabilitate himself as a populist and champion of affordability exactly when his polls are at their lowest precisely because of those very issues. This is perhaps the most opportunistic act by a single politician I've seen in my lifetime.
