If you are looking for some underrated Hip Hop tracks with that 90's sound, might I suggest checking out the Hawaiian Hip Hop (nā mele paleoleo) group Sudden Rush. Its a bit less graphic than some of the signature Rap tracks from this era, but has awesome messaging.
