He's the perfect Democrat candidate. Ticks the virtue signalling boxes, has a great resume on paper, but as you said - pick off the icing, there's no cake underneath, just a balloon.

But hey, him dropping for do-nothing Biden in 2020, it's "his turn" now, right? That was the deal.

Because they can't be blamed if the decision was the wrong one.

Because they can't be fired if an "empowered" underling does something that isn't in the best official financial interest of the company.

Missouri comedian. Was married to Lewis Black for a while and IIRC they parted amicably. She has a bit where her mom randomly hands her a pill out of a bottle of just random salad assortments of whatever they had left in their medicine cabinet. It's a hoot.

She's really talented, check her out.

I actually find a lot of classics quite sobering.

Antigone is a treatise on power.

The Satyricon, even though it was basically a Benny Hill style parody of The Odyssey, had a brutal satiric takedown of end-of-empire decadence as an opening monologue.

The thing is, this can be a teaching moment. The number of parents who simply say "no" and then "because I said so" rather than "listen, this game turns a real-world crime into entertainment.", man. Never understood it.

Believe it or not the only reason I play horror games is I have nothing against gibbing a zombie, demon or other non-human creature (that isn't a real creature) but killing humans, even by proxy...

I'd have to admit that some of them were kinda skipworthy, but that particular one in Beyond starts slow and really cooks at the end.

Oh yeah, far too many of them seem really contrived, but some of them are truly incredible. "Safe Haven" is another classic.

One thing I like about the found footage horror genre is that meaningful things happening aren't zoomed in on with dramatic music, they just happen.
