This is BAD. Many countries assisted with building the containment over reactor 4. Because Chernobyl is an existential threat. Canada donated over 66 million dollars. Building this was an example of extreme engineering. That a drone could do this to any nuclear facility has been a concern.

The @policyalternatives.ca calculated the cumulative funding gap in Ontario since 2019 – the amount that school boards have lost compared to what they would have received had their funding kept pace with enrolment and inflation – at $6.3-billion. #CanEd www.theglobeandmail.com/opinion/arti...
Opinion: Violence in Canadian schools is reaching a tipping point. What needs to change?
Underfunding and outdated policies mean students’ needs are being neglected and teachers are stretched thin. The only solution is more boots on the ground

This infographic is excellent. Summarizes a complex issue very succinctly.

Every AB should care about this.

1. GTFO
2. My voice is not some singular thing - bike advocacy is a small part of my makeup-you don’t like me or my position on things refer to point 1

Walz on Trump calling him the r-word: "We all know both as an educator & parent that using that term is just so damaging. It's hurtful. We have fought 3 decades to get this out of our schools. Kids know better. But this is what Donald Trump has done. He's normalized this type of hateful behavior."

I’m a careful rider and I would have ridden there too.

There are constantly weird pylons and other things left in bike lanes for no apparent reason, or a pylon is marking a small pothole that’s visible. Never an uncovered hole bigger than a person on a bike and filled with water 🤯.

I never noticed this old tree stump in the woods until the other day.

But that's how it is here. Even after getting on for 17 years living with a wild rainforest ecosystem, I still frequently make new discoveries.

And I suspect it will always be so, for the rest of my days.

Yep. De-risking for the capitalists. Taxpayers on the hook.

Funny how a lot of the rationale for capitalist profit is they take the risks.

But it's the government that often takes the risks, the taxpayers that pay when they fail. When they succeed? Money for the private sector.
When pundits talk about “de-risking” pipeline investment, they mean that we cover the losses and private companies walk off with the profits.
It’s taxpayer funded corporate welfare.
