I wanted to get my gear right in FFXIV for the MonHun collab next week, but my crafting level wasn't quite high enough. Long story short, I very nearly went to the moon to work for some rabbits, but instead I ate a cake instead of a steak and now I can kill Arkveld.

Barry has brought home two dead mouse “gifts” since Chris has been here and always loudly announces it whenever he brings one home. This morning I woke up to Chris calling out to me and when I asked him what was wrong, he jumped on the bed and gave me his little spring toy 😭

Donkey Kong: Bananza 100%ed. Fun game, but a bit too easy and all of the bosses except the last one were kinda bad. I enjoyed coordinating DK and Pauline’s costumes on each level. DK needed more hats though.

#Superman was great. Really had the feel of an episode of Justice League Unlimited. Also was not expecting Mr Terrific to be my favourite character.

Chris had his first vet visit today and unfortunately has a bit of conjunctivitis, so has inherited his big brother’s doughnut.

Barry can't meet the new kitten (Chris) yet, so he's living in my office. He's very vocal though, which makes Barry vocal. To avoid them calling each other all night, I locked Barry in the living room, so he just went outside and cried at the office window all night instead. 😭
I put Barry in the wash, but he shrunk and his fur’s gone a funny colour 😬

Binged 'The Alters' over the last few days. Not normally into base-building games, but the concept and story of this one really sold me. Tempted to do a second playthrough to get all the alternate paths, but I dunno if I can be bothered. Maybe I'll see if they add a NG+ mode.

Oh fun story, when did the system transfer to Switch 2, the wrong profile name came up and I thought I’d been hacked.
Turns out, I logged into my friend’s Switch years ago and the login was still valid and his daughter changed my profile name and avatar for one of her friend’s.

I couldn't take a pic because I was in the middle of a game, but Barry's friend came to visit (now wearing a collar!) and tried to get in through the catflap as Barry was trying to get out and the little idiots just blocked both sides for two minutes before they figured it out.

The saga of Barry's friend comes to a close. Good news is that he(!) is not a stray! So, not an instance of the cat distribution system bringing Barry a new brother.
But all is well, because I will be hopefully picking up a new kitten at the end of June instead!

Another update! I managed to lure his friend inside with some food. I put a paper collar on it (her?) with my mobile number on asking for her owner (if she has one) to text me. So now we wait and see if she’s actually a stray or not! She was not happy about the collar though 😅
