You could even argue he is the opposite of (what Republicans define as) DEI! He was massively overqualified and got a job he should have had several years earlier. It's the most naked possible example of how the DEI hysteria is just buzzworded racism.

Two players, two approaches—one explicitly laying out the political/personal motivations behind his decision, one simply stating he’d be elsewhere that day. Both totally valid as far as I’m concerned. Both men whose actions demonstrated greater moral fortitude than anyone on the Dodgers did today.
