Schumer is really an anti-leader, a vacuum of leadership, and as far as I can tell he draws his support from that. He doesn’t ask anything of anyone, he never squeezes anyone on a hard vote, he’s always the first to cave.
He’s the substitute teacher the kids love having because they can goof off.

Has Still Wancil considered that my burrito taxi for my boyfriend-shaped-person and myself was almost $60 this past week in a B-tier city
And the idea that FOOD is newly out of reach is comically absurd. We spend essentially the smallest share of income on food in history! In the 1960s the average American would spend fully 20% of their income on food - mostly staple groceries, little eating out,

Groceries are a need not a want so I really don’t get people who pay attention to the prices of them, like you have to get them regardless!
Groceries saw their biggest jump in nearly three years last month, a worrisome sign for inflation-weary shoppers. Tariffs are contributing to higher prices for imported staples like bananas and coffee.

“I optionally drove 2000 miles to overwinter somewhere. The economy is terrible!”
I just drove 2000 miles south on my annual migration. Far fewer trucks on the road. Fewer cars/people at motels and restaurants and motels are less expensive than they have been for several years. We on Main St. are in a recession. You Financial media folks can pretend that everything is fine..BUT!

Only by donating enough money to the party in government (something small, the UK is a de-veloping country, like £1 million or so is probably enough) and even then only a barony, no hereditary peerages have been created since the 80s I believe
Is there a way to buy a peerage these days? Because I would contribute cash money to get Sean Dunn named the Earl of Sandwich
