A repost usually means I agree with you. Usually.
I remember!
Mind you, it’s standard practice, not just in politics, to hint at bad news and eventually to announce something less bad.

Does anyone else remember the days when the first you heard what was in the Budget, was actually when the Chancellor stood up and telt you what was in the Budget?

Scotland locked in a broken UK with no democratic route to decide a better future.

Child Poverty:
Denmark 2.4%
Finland 3.2%
Norway 3.6%
Sweden 3.6%
UK 32.1%

Scotland discovered oil (which was removed from us) & we became poorer & de-industrialised & our culture trashed.

As many of you know, I do a lot of volunteer work with asylum seekers and refugees. One thing that’s going on is that Labour’s hostility towards migrants and the counterbattery from Tories and Reform is causing horrific fear and anxiety among vulnerable people who deserve our protection.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves hints at welfare cuts.

Why do govts not cut corporate welfare?

Subsidies for auto, steel, oil, gas, biomass, internet, shipbuilding and others, without any equity stake.

Profiteering by energy, water, phone, house builders, care home, dental care companies.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves hints at more welfare cuts after previous rebellion - but authority on shaky ground
The government's earlier efforts to reform welfare and save £5bn ended in an inglorious failure.

NEW There's no overstating how significant the Nathan Gill case is. On Friday, the close associate of Nigel Farage was jailed for over 10 years for taking bribes ultimately from a friend of Putin. It's a complex, detail-heavy story that raises questions about Farage’s claim Gill was ‘one bad apple’🧵

I’d have thought nothing cuts more against our precious British values than selling out your country for Russian bribes…

And yet Reform, the right‑wing press, and all those self‑styled guardians of these values have nothing to say

…funny that.

Johnson spent years charming, bluffing, and backstabbing his way to the top.

Positioning himself as a latter-day Churchill when the moment came and leadership was desperately needed, he showed us who he was...

And thousands died.

President Zelenskyy is thanking again other leaders for their support. How about we all thank him and all Ukrainians. They are fighting Putin and keeping us safe. If Putin wins we all lose and Europe is finished.

Thank you President Zelenskyy and all Ukrainians 🇺🇦🙏

“Did Nathan Gill ever say anything you disagree with in return for his bribes from a Kremlin stooge?”

“Did you, in your roles as his boss, friend, mentor & party leader, ever question his full-throated support for an enemy of the UK and if not, why not?”

You can have those for nothing, lads.

Newmarket MP Matt Hancock gave a £37bn Covid testing contract to Jockey Club director Dido Harding, who subcontracted it to Grand National sponsor Randox, employer of Tory MP Owen Paterson, whose late wife chaired Aintree racecourse. That's how the Tories handled the pandemic.

Farage can now be easily boxed in to a corner where his only ‘defence’ becomes: “Yes I spouted Kremlin propaganda & Putin worship but, unlike Nathan Gill, I didn’t need bribes to do it.”
It is, once again, a question of whether interviewers have the temerity to shut down his whining obfuscations.
