The Bookmark, Urmston, Jan/Feb 1972. Bought for 50p, aged 8, after being bedazzled by the Gibb bros on TotP.

Will have been consigned to the dustbin of history (or just the dustbin) in the ground zero purge of 1977/78.
I get some fearful stick from those sat around me when he's reffing, I can tell you!
"It's all about you, It's all about you, Anthony Taylor - it's all about you"

Quite right too. Lovely to receive some overdue recognition from our fans.
A numbered 'Thru the Flowers'! Great stuff. It's just been treated to a 40th anniversary 'reimagining'.
Yep, she still is! The second wave Prims stuff is just great.
Superb selection. Although I'd flip that Buzzcocks single around before playing :)
It is a broad church and I'd agree that PiL were/are post punk as opposed to new wave. But there are limits :)
Good choice. Why am I seeing the likes of Duran Duran and Heaven 17 posted as 'new wave'? Very odd.
Nice to see our boy add a few million to his transfer value :)
Extract in The Times from the Mike Joyce memoir, which is published on Thursday. Looking forward to reading not only 'his side of the story', but also about his time in Buzzcocks. The only musician to have been a member of my two all-time favourite bands!

Whereas that's Dave Watson's friendly face.
Sadly, Manchester and a fair few other dates were 'cancelled by the venues. It was a shame as while I don't think it would've matched the Hacienda gig in '82, we were still looking forward to it.
Fabulous. I'm not sure who 'Tracy Spencer' is though, as Ms Tracy's real name is Tracy Cattell.
On the generous side, if you ask me.
Haha, I used to do exactly the same with ours. A couple of hours' bliss!
Like any right-thinking person, I hate to listen to the bigoted Reform types routinely showcased on #bbcqt. However, Matthew Goodwin's performance tonight was surely a case of 'give 'em enough rope'. Only the most unhinged swivel-eyed loon could think he emerged with a shred of credibility.
Yeah, I was being semi tongue-in-cheek. However, when you went to say, the Cornerhouse, it was full of people there mainly to watch the film. A totally different experience to visiting the nearby Odeon, you must surely agree.
The absolute state of Goodwin. Is there a more punchable face in UK political discourse?
I mean the question is obviously rhetorical, but what about the other stuff? Slurping the last of a drink through a straw? Crunching boiled sweets? Chomping foul-smelling popcorn? All of this behaviour is equally impolite, yet somehow deemed acceptable to many.
It is impossible to deny that the whole sorry process has been nothing but a Grade A shitshow. The only honourable course of action now is to rally round Zack's Greens.
Watching a gig, especially while close to the front, while trying to keep abreast of score updates is not ideal. Anyway, City scraped through, and this classic was the final song. So all's well and all that.

Yep. i do rate her though and that aside, she was great.
Just back from I Swear, which I found very enjoyable. Really well acted with some great comic moments, not least Maxine Peake's hilarious attempt at a Scottish accent.
