I finally finished my first ever custom! Hornby Diesel 10!

It was a tough, but fun experience putting this heavy metal monster together, and I’m really happy with the result!

It is night time at the Big Station and very foggy. The ghost of an old rusty steam engine lurks in the sidings. It seems to be watching Oliver the Great Western Engine and Toad the Brakevan a little way ahead. Or maybe it was just passing by, minding its own business...

During the filming of Series 1, a model based on the BR 80 'Marklin' engine was created to haul trains in the background to create the illusion of "business". The prop would later go unused during Series 2 due to more models being created during production.

The post train is one of the most important trains, it must get through, regardless of weather. Percy normally took it but sometimes when there was too much for him to handle Thomas would be called upon to help.

Normally he didn't mind but he hated running at night in the mist.
