Also pre-order books from your favourite authors! Bookstores use total number of pre-orders as a metric for how many copies to order. The more pre-orders, the higher expectation for a run on purchases early after release, so will stock extra copies and promote prominently.
Will also note that if you like someone's books and want them to keep writing, supporting them by buying their books or ordering them from the library if buying isn't an option, and encouraging others to do the same, has a HUGE impact. Relatively small differences in sales numbers are make or break.

Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin ✨ figured out what stars are made of ✨ when she was just 25. 🔭🧪

Her PhD thesis basically established the Harvard astro department — at a time when Harvard didn't officially allow woman students.

Having fun playing with my new wooden soma cube. Don't know why I didn't know this before, but it can be rearranged from 3x3x3 to 4x4x2 minus 5 contiguous unit cubes that form the shape of a pentomino (1 deep). 11 of the pentominos work (of the 12). Way cool! www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGSH...
