Serious question: What's Bezos going to do when the WaPo Opinion Page realizes it can still attack Trump at will and not violate his new mantra by relentlessly and accurately criticizing him for being anti-business and anti-free market because of his tariff policies and government intervention?

EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

It's like comparing Smash Burger pr Five Guys to Burger King...
But if you're *Gold you can do the Star Alliance lounge at Bradley...and the Air Canada Lounge at SFO...both of which are better than the United Clubs at either airport. Don't know how the AC lounge stacks up against Polaris but the *A is probably in the ballpark.
Points deduction for the inverted selfie...

Administrators at Indiana University baselessly fired the student media director and ordered the student paper to cease its print edition, so it'd sure be a shame if this excellent digital front page were to be widely shared today

Two things.

1. The 777 can be flown with polished aluminum.

2. Why even do a retro jet if it’s not polished aluminum?

FWIW: One of the US Senators who pushed GM and Ford to abandon this push used to own a string of auto dealership. Auto dealers *hate* electric cars because they need far less maintenance. Maintenance is a major profit center for them.

Pretty good evidence the polls are not improving for the GOP in the shutdown fight.
Emmer: "This is about one thing and one thing alone -- to score political points with the terrorist wing of their party, which is set to hold a hate America rally in DC next week."

NEW: Florida's surgeon general Joseph Ladapo isn't just guided by science—his beliefs are shaped by a wife who says she can speak to spirits and levitate, and an energy healer guru.

The latest from @juliannemcshane.bsky.social and @kieraevebutler.bsky.social:
From medicine to mysticism: the radicalization of Florida's top doc
Joseph Ladapo was a normie—until he met his wife and a guru into levitating and communicating with spirits.

Hegseth sucks. The Qataris suck. But we aren’t giving Qatar an airbase in Idaho. It’s building dorms etc. at an existing base to train them on F-15s we sold them, just like Singapore already has there. Common arrangement we have with lots of countries. This one was already being planned under Biden.

This is an underappreciated argument...
It's a good, if standard, programming move. If the Bari Weiss 'experiment' at CBS News is limited to just her using her rolodex to get bigger names than usual to come on CBS Mornings or the Evening News, that's a pretty productive outcome.

"'You’ll see. When you walk through San Francisco next week, there will be cops on every corner,” he continued. “That’s how it used to be.'"

I'm not as old Marc Benioff, but Civic Center, Mid-Market and South of Market were rough when I was a kid and there were not cops on every corner.
For years, San Franciscans considered him the rare big-hearted billionaire. But days before his Dreamforce conference begins, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said he would support President Trump sending the National Guard to SF and that Trump is doing “a great job.”

Typical media writer bullshit. They act like their shit don't stink and they know the best way do news and they are above reproach and they imperiously deliver their opinion from on high through their Substack or blog or...

oh...yeah...

...right.
Glor, like Dickerson and DuBois, never should have been put in the chair to begin with. You could at least see O'Donnell's imprint on the show with a greater emphasis on the military and foreign news and a focus on (certain) women's issues.
They got rid of O'Donnell to save money (gets rid of DC studio). It was never really about ratings. It couldn't be given how CBS dumped salary on so many of their best reporters that were used on that show.
I'm more interested in the shot Darcy took at Dylan Byers...
Current TV, as bad as its studios were, got up and running faster than this...
Am I the only one wondering how the heck Versant can't find permanent studio space in NYC for MSNBC almost 11 months after the announcement of the spinoff? Something doesn't add up.

Someone who used to work with Katie Porter sent me this clip from a train wreck interview with her and said “now imagine what she’s like when there aren’t cameras around.”

This is being taken out of context.

Duffy is referring to the Essential Air Service program, a subsidy for operators at rural airports, which will lose funding on Sunday.

Shutdowns cause problems, but he didn’t specifically say “safety drops off on Sunday.”
Sean Duffy says the safety of the air traffic control system will start being impacted next Sunday if the shutdown continues
