Nyxs exes both are and aren't major players as to why nyx is the way they are
And I do say that referencing only the handful of people they actually cared about in some capacity(everyone else was really just so they could rob them blind and disappear)

Have some summaries. Secrets in Alt.
Text reads: - **Hollow Hoaxin:** Human Bounty Hunter- affinity for foxes and one of the reasons Nyx is partial to them. He wants whatever bounty is on Nyx's head and *has* caught them a couple times- them escaping was never part of the plan, much less 'travelling' together for a time, but may have also been part of the reason they got away so easily to begin with. He swears hes going to hunt them down eventually one day, and wont allow anyone else to take them. - **Rocien Farwell:** ??? Adventurer- Visitor from outside the dale that came looking for powerful magic. Was originally a 'victim' of nyx before nyx got caught up in another 'scam gone wrong' and had to kill the guy while Rocien helped. Knows about the undead curse thing that nyx has but assumes its intentional- doesnt press to hard as he has his own magic dealing in undeath but also keeps to himself due to its unfavorable opinions. nyx keeps him company for a while before he gets called back to his city to assist in some war- hes one of the few that has gotten the privilege of handling their furs and was given one himself, 'for good luck'. Writer notes: Hollow becomes such an ass about anyone near nyx and it's turned into this thing of "i need to kill you so ill stop being in love with you". Rocien had forbidden knowledge on nyx and doesnt do shit with it. Second healthiest relationship. The relationship with rocien was forever ago but DONT WORRY, HES NOT "DEAD" lichdom looks good on him don't worry about it. Nyxs furs are infused with their magic and are VERY good at serving to protect and hide no matter the conditions. Text reads: - **Meril Hareswin**: human fisherwoman- runs her own ship and definitely lured them on board with some really tasty fish. wanted nyx originally to help her in the fishing department, but the companionship was an added perk that nyx took to eagerly against her authoritative and headstrong attitude. assumed nyx was a selkie and tried stealing their fur as leverage- seeing the betrayal, nxy retaliated and disappeared, preferring to keep a somewhat distant relationship with any further fishmongers. - **Alloic Passrine**: Half-elf travelling bard- enviable skill with the lyre got nyxs attention and originally, Alloic was not very interested in nyx. it was the rumors after the fact that got his attention, and both found themselves very quickly falling into a comraderie regarding music and patrons before falling into a bed together. They had come to the dale to make money, and the two together could rake in QUITE the profit- however when offered a way out, to go into the world outside the dale together, nyx refused, and Alloic was left alone abruptly while nyx disappeared back into the only land they had ever known and believed that they could never leave from. Writers note: Meril was an opportunistic fling and was the first one to try and pull the "steal a skin" thing with them despite it NOT being how nyx actually works. The furs and skins they wear ARE infused with magic, but don't bind them to a person if theyre stolen. Alloic has my heart and my apologies. Both of them loved each other SO MUCH- but Something Else is preventing Nyx from leaving the area- as much as they wanted to go, theyre tied to a land where the people want them dead. Text reads: - **Arven Illela**: human Noble- His father found nyx whille they were recovering from an injury and thought them to be a selkie with power over the waters nearby. Imprisoned and then gifted to Arven, he took care of Nyx and genuinely loved them, without expecting anything. Nyx couldnt stand or understand it. One of the Exes that they never actually slept with. Nyx played house with him for almost 2 years before leaving- something facilitated by arven himself after he killed his father to get their sealskin back. He was sad but didnt want them to be unhappy. - **Carmen Dells**: ??? Trapper- picked nyx up as a fling, originally with them keeping her company between towns during a rather heavy storm as they valued her resourcefulness and bluntness. was originally going to kill them in the middle of the night but nyx proved to be a decent goodluck charm- one she didnt want to let go of. tried to kill nyx a couple of times, especially after rumors of a bounty on their head came by on the wind. Writers note: Arven is a golden retriever. He loves Nyx so much but hates seeing them upset- which is 70% of the time theyre together. Nyx CARES about Arven but while being technically imprisoned(the sealskins don't tie them to a person, remember, but they are NOT something nyx would leave behind, and they were also injured. So.) Life kinda sucked. Nyx was very close to mind controlling Arven to kill his father and getting the skin back and then arven just. Did it. Of his own free will Carmen is just a serial killer who found a new pet.

Warmup today was drawing Nyx with their exes- so have a peek at probably the healthiest relationship they were ever in (Nyx changes their appearance a LOT over the years so this is like. almost as 'normal' as they get)

ANYWAYS. two bards walk into a bar and start dancing to their own music. Idiots.
