and for medaka he might feel like he's inconveniencing nikaidou's whole cover and forcing this friendship on him (mainly bc it starts weighing on him that he learned nikaidou's secret from another source and not from nikaidou himself)

for nikaidou he might feel like he's forcing himself into medaka's friend group (I mean can you blame him they all treat him like a cursed object lol) and idk I think he might also feel like he's being a bit selfish bc he wants to spend more time with medaka but with just the two of them-

headcanon that medaka puts it upon himself to teach nikaidou all there is to know about pop culture and they make it a habit to watch all the classics and to hang out in bookstores so he could recommend popular manga etc.

God this final ED for My Hero Academia is just perfect. MHA EDs has always had these wistful, nostalgic and playful energy to them and the sketchbook style.

i imagine nikaidou not wearing glasses and medaka starts wearing his again bc he cannot be bothered with the contact lenses bc of how fussy it gets when he's started getting busy??😆
but you make a good point about him still wearing his glasses as some sort of mask to be more comfortable!!

iv been thinking about another profession for nikaidou and thought he could be an art museum conservator or smthn just the thought of nikaidou being surrounded by beautiful things while working has captivated me and i guess im influenced by how wym uses classic art pieces on their work sometimes too

considering how nikaidou doesn't know who junji ito is, i think it's safe to say that nikaidou isn't really updated on pop culture. maybe he's more of a non-fiction type of guy?? and him not being able to handle horror, maybe the book is about the history of black magic lol i can only speculate ofc😂
