Trump says he’ll pardon a former Honduras leader convicted of taking millions of dollars in bribes from drug traffickers. A U.S. prosecutor said Juan Orlando Hernández “paved a cocaine superhighway to the U.S.”

Assuming every boat Trump and Hegseth blew up contained the amount of drugs they claim, Hernandez was responsible for bringing more drugs into the US than every one of them had combined. By far. And yet, Trump murders 80+ people and counting while pardoning the narco kingpin.

A central issue at trial for the My Lai massacre in Vietnam was whether an Army lieutenant, or the Army captain who was his superior, was responsible for the order to leave no survivors.

Neither suggested the SecDef would have given such a command.

Likely also there's extra animus against Bruna Ferreira because she's Brazilian, given that she was detained this month, at which point Trump regime had already shown anger & desire to interfere in Brazilian domestic affairs, plus 50% tariffs (since reduced). Worse now, with Bolsonaro in jail.

Reporting from Boston papers makes it seem very plausible that Trump's Press Secretary had his paramilitary detain the mother of her nephew, because she was no longer romantically involved with her brother and he wanted her out of the picture.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
