This is looking awesome, can I ask what the font is
I wish him and his seventeen tapeworms a speedy recovery
Another 'classic' spread reimagined
Thank you Quinns, all I can see when I look at it is his goofy hand but maybe thats part of the charm
I may redraw Lonrot as an experiment and see how closely I can capture the original vision while using my newer techniques
unsure whether I'll end up remastering the artwork or not. I think the second issue is in the awkward position of not really looking like the rest of the Vaarn artwork, but also some of it is 'classic' and idk if I want to replace it
Reworking old spreads for the 2e Corebook this week
In short I do a connectivity editing pass later in drafting, but this is a good topic to cover thank you
Yes there were and scope limitation is a good topic
Working on a “creators commentary” type post on writing the Shrike. Is there anything you would like to know about writing an Award Winning Adventure Module TM
My sons curiously joyless playing at “coffee shop” inspired it haha
i was woken up at 5 am to play with toy cars so I'm feeling a sale to the circus may be on the horizon
thanks! I tend to think these creatures can feel engaging if you drill down into a funhouse mirror of a real inspiration. Small children who are innocent of good and evil (but tilted towards the evil side) are a very interesting and frightening antagonist to me
I actually want to use this take somehow now
Infestations are notoriously hard to remove. The accepted methods of clearing a goblin warren are flooding it, leaving vats of poisoned jam nearby, or using teams of the goblin-hunting terriers bred for purpose (keep these away from real children, they’re on a hair trigger around small humanoids)
Goblin culture mimics the human civilisation around it. If we have kings they want one too (or two or three or ten!) If we have a war so will they (although they might declare war on trees or a lake or on silence).
Their games imitate the rituals of human life but without understanding it. They want wealth because we want it, but would never spend it. They ride horses because we do (but forget to feed them). They want human babies because we love them (but forget to feed them). They’re horrorible but innocent
I would probably draw on the hard parts of living with a toddler. If you have something they want it. Everything they touch breaks. They want to play games (but the rules are always changing). If you stop them doing what they want you’re the enemy.

The Melsonian Arts Council and Iglootree are teaming up to open a FLGS/bookshop in South London. Yes, THIS Saturday. Come say hi, buy a book, maybe win one of the ludicrously posh games we're offering in the raffle (I goddamn love raffles), play games in our basement. THIS IS REAL!
