The Los Angeles City Council voted to oppose SB 79, our bill to allow more homes near public transit.
But here’s the big picture:
In 2019, the council voted unanimously to oppose SB 50, a prior version of this bill.
Today’s vote was 8-5.

The Dire Wolf situation is making me a bit bonkers. Dire wolves are a separate genus than grey wolves. They diverged from grey wolves around the same time we diverged from bonobos on separate continents. You cannot simply edit some genes in a grey wolf and get the dire wolf. It's purely a media play
