In real life I'm a Dev. In here I'm mostly an idiot.

This was the best Thanksgiving plate of food I've ever had. Full stop. This gravy needs to be on everything. Put it on cake. Pour it on pie. I can't wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow. Green bean, dressing and gravy sandwich!!!!

Please give thanks this Thanksgiving, and every day, for these folks who are absolutely crucial to our continuing food supply. One of my faves is broccoli casserole!
As you’re preparing for your Thanksgiving meal, remember the skilled work it took to get that food to your grocery store.

Tell us your favorite Thanksgiving dish, and we can share some of what we know about the work behind the ingredients.

I did it. Kindly husband can decide if he wants ganache. I was also going to make the Navy Bean Pie I make every year, but when I got home I found a Sweet Potato Cake that feeds up to 20 people in the fridge. I think we're good for sweets. 🎂

Waiting for my Thanksgiving catering pickup! We are so fortunate to have White Wine and Butter in town. Chef Michael Sibert won an episode of Chopped and he and his team are fantastic!

I need to make the filling for my homemade Hostess Cupcake cake but y'all I am so damn tired. I want to cry over how much I don't feel like doing it. Yet, I want to want to do it. Lots of folks feeling this way today, I think.

while I’m being cranky, access journalism needs to go. When the president does his “I’m alpha because I insulted you” thing somebody needs to fall on his sword and say “what the fuck is wrong with you, old man?” on a hot mic. the hero of the wizard of Oz is Toto.

This is my new lunch. I realize it could qualify as a budget meal depending on where you source the ingredients. Oatmeal on the bottom, made savory with stock instead of water. Frozen broccoli steamed then seared with fish sauce, kimchi on top. There's ground up flax, hemp, chia too.

Announcement?

As I explore old typewriters, I thought to involve you (?).

If you feel alright with my having an address, DM me a theme, question, or etc. I’ll draw from my janky toolkit, write you a little something, date it, identify the typewriter, and send.

You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

We have a great screened porch. It's probably the only truly great thing about this vinyl cookie cutter house. The problem is, we haven't taken good care of the upholstery of the furniture, so we haven't sat out there in years. It was truly gross. Yesterday, I decided to fix that.

Had half a cabbage that needed to be eaten. Cut it in half, steamed in bamboo, charred in skillet, cut roughly, tossed with fish sauce and Japanese BBQ sauce. Good gravy!

When people say "We used to drink raw milk from our own cow and it was fine,"

That's... usually not the case!

In families w their own cow, the mom usually boiled it before using.

We just forgot bc that's a boring chore that mom did. And who pays attention to that?
