I was just thinking that the joyful camaraderie at the No Kings protests may be just the right tone.
Not to convert MAGA, which is impossible, but when inviting a friend with no involvement in politics to the next one.
"That sounds like fun" may be their answer.

I saw a very moving homemade sign being carried by a 75-year old woman at No Kings, Greenville, SC.

It had a black and white photo of a WW2 soldier and said, "I'll take it from here, Dad. Fighting fascism since 1944."

Is politics weighing on you? Does it ever make you feel alone, like "everyone" is on board with awful things and "no one" cares (or close)?

Then you should go to a No Kings protest. That feeling isn't uncommon, but it's a trick. Go be around some of the many people who agree with you. You'll see.
