Bizarre enough that our Georgia Public Service Commission is partisan. A court battle affirmed the statewide election of Commissioners who represent districts. Republicans want state-wide elections because local elections would result in people electing those who they feel represent them.
Georgia Republicans say they fear local elections could help Democrats in statewide utilities race
Unique off-year election for Georgia Public Service Commission seats has Republicans worried about low turnout and potential Democratic mobilization.

More on the weekend of planned chaos for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Trump regime timed this major set of illegal firings for a long holiday weekend, as always, with a little more than half of the firings reversed 24 hours later.
Mass federal worker firings, reinstatements and more chaos for hard-hit Atlanta CDC
It was another weekend of chaos and uncertainty for federal employees at the Atlanta-based United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Late Friday, the Trump administration’s firings of ...

More CDC Cuts :: NCHS Edition 📊🔫

At least 1/3 of the staff at the National Center for Health Statistics has been cut (and remain cut). This is catastrophic for our nation’s health data.

Say goodbye to national health statistics that you can trust, healthcare surveys, NHANES and data systems.

Current Public Service Commissioners are all too cozy with providers. Follow the money, and you see how that profits them. Vote for Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard for real accountability!

SHAME on Gov Kemp. He took campaign money from CoreCivic when its for-profit prisons were under investigation for human rights violations. Then he ignored the increasingly inhumane conditions during his entire 8-year tenure as governor. People are dying. He looks away. www.ajc.com/opinion/2025...
Under Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s watch, detainees are being treated inhumanely
Private prison companies have donated to Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp and other Republicans. Meanwhile, conditions for inmates are poor, as demonstrated with ICE detentions.
