one of my favorite things about James Cameron is he included many of the technical specs necessary to not die in a submarine at the beginning of Titantic.

Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

set down the path to make that film, the first thing that I did

was arrange to be introduced to the head of the submersible

program at the P.P. Shirshov Institute in Moscow, a guy named

I. I did that through a mutual friend

of ours, a guy named
, who is one of the preeminent
underwater cinematographers in the world. And had been on a

submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the

Russians. And that was organized by a Canadian company that was
22 doing an IMAX film which was released under the title Titanica.

While this may be obvious to some players, Cataquacks resemble Wiggler segments that have come to life. This is likely intentional due to them originating in Gelato Beach in Super Mario Sunshine, where the antagonist is a Wiggler.

idk i just don't get why *everyone" having the wrong name in the G1 anime trilogy *isn't* allowed, but the minicons being called Leader-1 half the time in Armada, and Downshift and Cliffjumper having their names switched around, and Misha having three names over the course of Energon, *is* allowed

kinda annoyed that hasbro prevented the hilariously bad eng dubs of the transformers G1 anime trilogy from being released on dvd in the us due to its many inaccuracies... but continue to distribute the eng dubs of armada and energon to this day despite being utter trainwrecks of eng dubs themselves

and the dvd release of the G1 anime trilogy we did get had altered eng subs; changes like jpn names to eng names made sense but then they'd throw in random references to the idw comics or change swears to tf euphemisms like "scrap" or "the Pit", even when humans would say a swear originally
