Yes, agree. It is always a bit chaotic and actually quite stressful to photograph, but the whole day is quite uplifting and seeing the general public joining in with the dancing and joy is lovely.

Of the dog? Yes, but they are all on paper in photo albums. She wasn't mine, she lived at a holiday let in the Dolomites where my family went a few times every year for many years, and we had a lovely bond. I cried buckets every time we left after a few weeks, and I cried buckets when she died.

Thank you. Yes, she is one of the museum staff and very kindly posed. Credit for the fab interiors goes to the National Portrait Gallery, who planned out this corridor leading to the Hepburn photos very well.
