When I tell other artists that l use Al in my work, l often face skepticism - sometimes even negativity. People say that professionals should avoid Al, that it's soulless, and that only humans can bring art to life. I believe you still remain an artist — you just add another tool to your kit: Al, alongside paper & pencil, Photoshop, and a pen tablet. It helps me quickly explore concepts, shapes, and colors, and then I refine them by hand, turning generated images into vibrant, living visual concepts. Modern challenges require modern tools - ones that help the artist, not replace them. Using Al as a source of inspiration and idea generation also significantly speeds up the creative process. It lets you focus on what truly matters - bringing your vision to life. Be open to learning new skills and approaches. Have you ever faced a similar reaction from other artists? What do you usually say in response? me: or "hand finished" it looks like crap devoid of cultural context. i can tell you did zero research on any asian architecture or decorative motifs this is vaguely based on. real artists put in the work of intellectual curiosity, not just technicality.

two more paintings before I go
a drapery study and color experimentation. there is green fabric in the center and white fabric in the back of the space. there is a sculpture on the green fabric. there is a large white board in the back, and another smaller white thingy in the front. there are wooden frames painted in a pink hue. an abstract painting inspired by a collage of colors picked from another abstract artwork. there is a gravity well of bright colors of orange, yellow, blue, green, and surrounding darker colors of purple and blue. the piece becomes more vertical to the left as there are duller, less vibrant hues of beige, purple, and green, with fragments of the bright colors in the circle. the dull colors seem to bleed into other colors, and there are purple dots, stars perhaps, in some of the dark blue shapes. this piece represents my relationship with time and other things tied to time, like memories and anxiety and large feelings

also it's a good way to see what you do and don't know and where you might need to focus on the formal elements of art of you really can't give yourself a break, but give it a break. note it, write it down, and then keep having fun

An illustration of my OCs, Vale and Tassera. They're in a booth at the Crow and Lyre tavern, the walls are wood panels, there's a pair of latticed windows behind Tassera's head with bright yellow light coming in. Vale sits on the edge of the left booth seat, one leg stretched out toward the viewer, his sword rests on its point, has right hand holding it up, it's taller than he is, sitting. He has light skin, purple eyes that look away toward the left and the floor, long blue hair pulled back in a half ponytail and a close cut beard. He has a long blue coat, over a blue vest and white shirt with a collar, a strap is around his left upper thigh and knee high boots. Tassera sits on the table to our right, turned toward the right slightly, legs crossed, she holds a dagger in her left hand, cradling the point in her right. She has medium skin, green eyes and wavy purple hair with a slight smirk on her face. She wears a bodice style top in dark purples with straps and thigh high boots. They are both back lit in yellow light from the windows. A comic page set in a dark trophy room of a rich nobles manor. It's filled with taxidermy, odd statues in cases, a bust of a former king, odd books etc. Two women Vrilla (long read hair, blue leather coat) and Indi (cat ears, blond short hair, short cloak and a tail) stand in the middle of the room. Vrilla looks to Haln (masculine, dwarf, leather coat, dark hair in a ponytail) as he says "Can we get on with it?" as Vrilla replies "Of course". Vrilla steps up to a case with a statue in it, her hands glow red and runes light up on the case and the fade out. Vrilla gestures to the case "Wards are gone, all yours." Indi takes Vrilla's place next to the case and Indi fades out, we get the impression of Indi's invisible hand reaching into the case and the statue disappears. Three people sit around a table with a lantern in the center. Indista is a light skinned woman with a blond bob and orange cat ears wearing a tank top over off the shoulder sleeves. Tassera is a tan skinned woman with curly purple hair in a black bodice and white shirt, her arm over the back of her chair. Klies is gender neutral with chin length brown hair half dyed blue with bunny ears and a tan slouchy sweater. Tass says "a ruthless narcissistic pain in my ass." Klies followers her "Otherwise known as Zevran, leader of the Crocs. The gang that runs the east side of town." Indi clasps her hand together, "And he has a problem with US?" Tass gets up, standing behind her chair, "Zev's got a problem with everyone." She turns and walks towards a map of the city on the wall, "There are five major crews in Nalohn." Tass gestures to areas on the map, figures are show to the viewer as the she talks about them. "Each operates from a specific part of town. The Wolves on the north side." A light skinned woman with elf ears and long green hair, "Crocs in the east" a man with light skin, short brown hair, scars on his face a goatee and a high collar coat, "Dogs run the south" a broad woman with darker skin, short shaggy red hair, red cat ears, facial piercing wearing a leather jacket "And the west is mine. Well, ours." Tass a woman with tan skin and long purple curly hair stands outside the Crow and Lyre on a street softly lit by a lantern. She wears a white collared shirt with ruffled cuffs and a purple bodice. Next to her on the right is Vale a man with light skin, elf ears and long dark straight hair, he has a large sword on his back, a white shirt with a collar opened over the chest and a long coat with the collar pulled up. Tass rests her hand on his shoulder as she says "I could say the same for you". Vale looked unamused and a maybe a little sad as Tass moves away up the stairs to the bar, he says "I'm not the one who committed a crime. Several likely." Tass pauses, arms folder, looking over her shoulder, "Allegedly. You have my alibi." She turns, resting her chin in her hand as she tilts her head to regard him. Vale snaps back, "And it's shit, you can do better."
