No spending? Sorry, but this is stupid. I’m not willing to hurt my local businesses and economy. That’s self-defeating.
I can certainly avoid giving money to corporations and chains. But I already do that most of the time, anyway.

I am all for withholding cash from corporate America, but this can hurt small businesses, particularly minority-owned.

It should be “Buy Only Local Day.”
Support small and locally owned businesses.

You know, when Matt says it's good...it's good.

Wonder if the @kenwoodtheatre.com will have Predator themed food & drink specials.

Predator: Badlands movie review (2025) | Roger Ebert
An exceptional sci-fi action thriller with memorable characters and lead performances that deserve to be included in discussions of the year's best.

I'm torn...I totally want to support others when they are going through a tough time (unexpected medical or legal bills), but is asking strangers for money so one can have IVF relying a little too much on the kindness of strangers?

If you have a flagpole/American flag as a private home/business, you aren't required to keep it half-staff just because the "president" asked you to. The Federal U.S. code states that presidential/state governors/D.C. mayoral proclamations for the flag only apply to federal and military buildings.

Charlie Kirk wasn’t the only person shot today. But, they’re not big name MAGA’s, so it’s unlikely we’ll hear much about it from this administration.

At least 3 students injured in shooting at Colorado high school.

My cat is so confused. I looked him straight in the face and sang “And if you fall as Lucifer fell, the flame, the sword” from Les Miz’s “Stars” then walked away.

He knows what he did.

The only way to get FL back on the right path is via pocketbook. Every single medical group planning a conference in Florida should cancel ASAP. Physicians should reach out to groups on this list and request moving upcoming conferences to other states/cities.

Trying to phase out microfiber cloths and replace with Swedish dishcloths due to the microplastics issue and I’m not going to lie- I’m not in love with the dishcloths. They just don’t clean as well as the microfiber. First world problem, I know.

Can confirm that I have seen X-rays of various objects inserted rectally during my medical training and have no doubt that this bottle, should it go into production, will soon be seen in radiographic studies nationwide.

Wait...wasn't Nick Pinkerton the guy who started an online beef with @esquiretheatre.com on Twitter? IIRC he was dunked on because he was pretty rude.
Long overdue in displaying in the box office our @thesweeteast poster, signed by the movie's writer, Cincinnati native Nick Pinkerton. Last year's screening was a milestone. It was a sellout, and Nick dropped in for a Q&A. He could have hosted his homecoming at any theater here, and he chose us.

Sad truth about the world we're leaving our kids: my child is going to a Children's International Summer Village camp in Europe this year. We had a parents' meeting to discuss last-minute issues and all agreed that the delegation should NOT wear anything to identify them as American when traveling.
