I revisit an email from Ken Perlin at NYU so often I want it in my timeline. He sent it to me in August 2015 in response to questions for an article I was writing. Here’s what he wrote:
VR isn’t dead but RIP my emails.
I’d wear my VR headset case.
A eye-lens protector should fold out from the front-lens protector for instant dual-lens protection of a VR headset.

I forgot to celebrate that you mentioned Don Carson's Horizon World tutorials one of these days at the VR Download. Those videos covered very interesting concepts of "environmental storytelling" and space layout design. They were very valuable to watch. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7hba...

I believe this is the first depiction shared in public that shows “The Walkabout Path” through Gravity Sketch.

This is why @walkaboutminigolf.bsky.social feels like a place.

An artist made this tunnel through VR a year ago and then asked others to contribute their talents.
Apple TV guest pass should be a thing. If you’ve got something that an Apple subscriber has paid for on TV, you should be able to wear any headset in the same room and watch it synced the way you prefer it, with or without captions, 3D or not, or perhaps audio in a different language.
Got an email from Apple that the dual knit band I ordered is available for pickup.

Got to store and they said they can’t release it early.
Who could have seen this coming? Oh, everyone? Everyone saw it coming?

One of my least favorite discoveries about modernity is the standard use of dual phones by PR managers and politicians while ad brokers and government de-anonymize speech.

“Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law” is true of public comment and political affiliation.
It must rub the chat upon the skin or else it gets the vibes again.
Keeping an eye on my baby with two cameras while broadcasting in VR about military service members getting cat ears.

Fed him two bottles and got him to sleep in my arms while meeting with my colleague from London.

Posting to Twitter in 2023:
The Thirteenth Floor.

The other movie from 1999 about virtual reality.

To discover the truth, go to a place you would never go.
