#Recovery is not easy, getting sober is hard work. This has to be something you work at and knowing before you start is much better than finding out after, that way it’s not the excuse for giving up giving up. It’s worth it, take that first step.

Not a super religious guy but #Romans 5:8 seems accurate, in my darkness I met my wife and my life flipped around from there. I know we met for a reason, she's my soulmate and I think she was meant to be and this is why I'm no longer in the darkness.

Recovery has taught me that listening to my elders might have helped avoid a lot of heartache.
Of the four kids my mum and dad had I was the only one who couldn't control myself and endeo up an #alcoholic. The shame I feel about this is less now but when I first got #sober it was a huge hurt.
