People don’t want to hear this but the secret to a perfect pumpkin pie is to bake and puree the pumpkin yourself, not use canned pumpkin. If you don’t possess the discipline and tenacity for this, you shouldn’t be baking. You shouldn’t even be celebrating Thanksgiving at all.

It simply cannot be underscored strongly enough, this was all for *this guy*

National Guard are still in DC by the way. I see them every time I’m on U Street. Lincoln Park daily. I counted over a dozen on Barracks Row Saturday night. In response to this ongoing affront to justice and democracy, the Washington Post editorial board has taken a firm stance against hand dryers.

I never write anything without a very clear idea of what it means to me. Which isn’t the same thing as saying “There’s a definitive answer embedded here that everyone should be on the same page about.” I’m not writing math equations.

Having learned my lesson 9ish years ago about wishing someone who has no chance of winning runs for president, just want to make sure the universe understands this is bad and I don’t want it to happen. I don’t want her to run for president. It’s not good and I emphatically hope it doesn‘t occur. Ok?

From the bottom of my heart, what the fuck is he talking about
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you ... People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

Stephen King, in the author’s note at the end of 11/22/63, said he researched it thoroughly and he’s pretty positive it was Oswald. That‘s good enough for me.
My first political memory - exactly 62 years ago right now, a 4-year-old boy trying to understand his mom's tears - is still the biggest event in my lifetime. We still (IMO) don't *really* know who killed JFK, but we know the public's trust was shattered. It's a straight line to today's mess
