A really good example of this is the MCTS Connect 1 (CN1) route where they have some bus lanes that they don't have people parking in for part of the route, Novabus LFSe+s for just that route, and generally less stoplights to hit.

- actual bus lanes that are segregated from traffic
- sticking to the properly branded vehicles on that route
- signal priority instead of "holding the green" that never works

Today I was at the state capitol talking to senators and representatives regarding SB2111/HB3438 alongside the IEC for transit funding and reforms!

Didn't keep up with how the committees went after it later today in session but I definitely feel like I did something!

Tbf if they just stuck with the CN1 expansion plans to replace the Red, Blue, Green, and Purple lines they would be pretty good on their own, just wishing the funding fallout wasn't going to happen for them
hsrgood.bsky.social
iirc they're on the production line somewhere in *waves hands* there with all the other orders

less awesome, my sleep schedule is now messed up :(
hsrgood.bsky.social
sleeping with men is so cool and awesome 😁

There's gotta be a Taitset vid for this...

And there would be trains every 5 minutes at peak like the Yanchep and Mandurah lines are, but it's america so probably every 10 minutes at best
hsrgood.bsky.social
Or just Tampa, Disney, Orlando on I-4 would have been enough considering how packed that gets, the B series would have been able to keep up considering they have a top speed of 130kph

Denver with "Commuter Rail" is that what-if moment, just its stopped expanding and now costs would be out of control for it all.

Ahhh, well make sure to plan with CARTA next time!

This is terrible. There's like $800 I'm missing out on this month in OT if this is the case.
hsrgood.bsky.social
uhhhhh I'm paid weekly but I get my stuff through direct deposit so I would have to check, we do have an online accounting thingamajig that I haven't bothered to log in to but I should probably do that now
hsrgood.bsky.social
Very much depending how this leans, there is $860 of OT on the line here over the entire month.

Wait but it does say in the brochure that..

"As an employee, you have a right be paid at an
overtime rate of time-and-a-half your regular rate
for all hours worked over 40 in a work week"

Is the "work week" in this referring to calendar based work week (I.e. Monday to Sunday) or the paycheck one?
hsrgood.bsky.social
Gotcha because I'm pretty sure my pay period is on Friday and my pay date is on Monday. Which would have split that across when I worked Thursday to Sunday.

I am strongly contemplating making a call tomorrow to see if this could have any teeth.
hsrgood.bsky.social
Could this play into the calculations of it at all?

let me guess, accounting weeks run Saturday-Friday and you didn't exceed 40 hours in any single week by that measure by working 57 hours from Thursday-Sunday?
