I learned the hard way that the NSO Paper Mario has a nasty crash because it can’t handle the game’s particle effects very well. And since the NSO doesn’t actually save your data unless you close the program out cleanly, it meant losing my entire save file. Been a huge skeptic of NSO since then.

I know it's pretty low hanging fruit to dunk on Nintendo, but you gotta remember that despite the huge leaps in technical advancements, the game industry is still basically an infant. They'll never hit true art form status while the major entities producing the games don't even think it.

It's funny because Nintendo obviously thinks games are considered art whenever they send their legal team in droves to harass preservation sites and fan conventions, but the actual projects themselves are just raw meat that spent too much time thawing on the counter.

This is why I kinda just stopped complaining about difficulty entirely aside from extreme cases because 90% of the time I can recognize when I’m just straight ass at something. On top of different people finding different things hard, I guess. Will never be a universal experience.

My road to find the one Zelda game that personally speaks to me has been long and arduous. Much sailing, but I feel we're getting closer with each iteration.

This is what I get for essentially starting a series backwards, but I am learning to open my mind and ride the waves.

Not ashamed to admit that I have been using different editions and the boatload of DLC I own to get the 1,000 games badge faster, so I’m genuinely curious how much this number is going to drop after the update tomorrow.

Twelve Minutes is absolutely miserable from start to finish.

I often get people who are interested in it, telling me that “It can’t be that bad.” and it physically pains me every time because rather than just spoiling what happens, I have to let them wander this path alone.

All of the Sims console ports are very different as well. But I feel like I’d be the only person who cares to bring that one up 😭

I have this concern too, having played something like the 999 port where the ending is changed.

He said that he does recognize many ports being wildly different than others and shouldn’t be combined, so I’m sure there will be a lot of complaints and trial and error until many of them get manually reverted back.
