Here for news, political insights, and satire/parody. (My own opinions are satirical too, and sometimes parody.)

Probably most. The GOP has prevailed by dumbing down their message to a series of buzzwords that their voters can recognize w/o having to think or understand issues. Obamacare is one; some others: woke, trans, antifa, radical-left. The party thinks its followers are stupid, so it uses them as tools.
Not just "continue to be," they take it to a whole new level! One man quoted in the article said he wants people he and his date "pass on the street to say that we go well together." Life is not Instagram-ready performance art, people! (No wonder marriage rates are dropping.)

And let's not forget how ludicrous it is that Noem deported a US citizen combat veteran ON THE ORDERS OF THE MOST FAMOUS DRAFT-DODGER IN THE UNITED STATES! It's true ya can't make this stuff up!
Rhode Island Congressman Seth Magaziner confronted Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem on Thursday, accusing her of deporting a U.S. Army combat veteran who was shot during his time in the service.

This deported Veteran is a close friend of mine. My heart aches for him and his family. He is a hero, who needed assistance and tolerance from the country he served. He was awarded a Purple Heart Medal after being shot twice. They chose to punish him. It’s shameful. Sae Joon Park is a hero.
MAGAZINER: How many veterans have you deported?

NOEM: We haven't deported veterans

How about deporting the immigrants who were waiting at Faneuil Hall to take the Oath of Allegiance as US citizens? If that's not illegal, it ought to be.
GOLDMAN: If your department deports anyone with an ongoing asylum application, you are violating the law, correct?

KRISTI NOEM: Joe Biden left us--

GOLDMAN: I'm not asking about Joe Biden

NOEM: *keeps talking over him*

GOLDMAN: The answer is yes

Who was it that said never underestimate the ability of citizens to vote against their own best interests?
Republicans in Congress are on a path to letting enhanced ObamaCare subsidies expire at the end of the year, a result that could amount to a dismissal — or, depending on your perspective, a betrayal — of the MAGA populism that was ascendant in the party.

.@WSJ on 12/6: "Consumers sour on economy." Also 12/6 WSJ: Meanwhile, nearly all White House sr. staff try (in vain) to get #POTUS to focus on economy. Among his top economic advisors: Rollins, Miller, Navarro. My take: If you think it's bad now, just wait.

This. Is. An. Outrage. I hope someone will publish their names and the states where they live so honest and welcoming Americans can demand that their Senators and Representatives pressure the gov't to right this wrong and give them the citizenship they've earned.
These were people already approved to be naturalized, yet they were stopped solely because of their countries of origin. MAGA keeps saying, “If they wanted to be in this country, they should have done it the right way.” Well, they did. And the administration still blocked them. Cruelty is the point.

Good. Hoping it prompts many questions that can only be answered with further releases from the #Epstein files and estate.
A federal judge ordered the release of grand-jury transcripts from the Justice Department’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein in Florida, citing a new law mandating that files be made public.

[email protected] Also reports Trump is now targeting LEGAL immigrants, arresting & detaining spouses of US citizens AT HEARINGS TO APPROVE THEIR GREEN CARD APPLICATION. When will Congress have had enough? War crimes! Extra-judicial detentions! W/holding disaster funds from "blue" states! I could go on.

Is anyone within MAGA unhappy that maybe #StephenMiller isn't letting "Trump be Trump?" Or are Trump and Miller truly of one mind?
November 28, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Because maybe under Trump 2.0, the gov't doesn't care if Native Americans die of illnesses that vaccines can prevent. If all our Native American neighbors die off, just think what the gov't will save by eliminating the Indian Health Service. (Is this on #StephenMiller's holiday wish list?)

A modest suggestion: Everybody, screenshot his post. Change "Thanksgiving" to "Christmas." Print them as your Christmas card & send it to each of your Republican friends. So far, they haven't been getting the message. With this in their faces, maybe they'll begin to see and find it unacceptable.
Donald Trump finally posts a Thanksgiving message — and uses it to call Governor Tim Walz “seriously retarded.”

Just remember this #Thanksgiving Day: If your family isn't experiencing Leavitt-level dysfunction (or the ill will of members who'd use the power of the federal government to hinder or harass those they disagree w/), then you indeed have much to be thankful for. #HappyThanksgiving

Maybe the big boss realized that the rest of the newsroom staff might quit of this wasn't published.
What's this? A principled statement from the editorial board @washingtonpost.com ?

Didn't think they did that any more.

Hmmm, maybe "the law" does apply to the GOP after all.
Trump’s push to protect his party’s House majority through gerrymandering is now at risk of costing the GOP seats, rather than producing a net gain.
