So grooming gangs involving brown skinned people are an issue, but not grooming gangs featuring rich white people?

Banning away fans from a club with a known hooligan problem is anti semitic?

We arent a sensible country anymore are we?
Could be interesting locally as I reckon Tories could lose a large number of seats in Peterborough local elections and will lose across Fenland
A work mate lives in Kent. While not a Reform voter was open minded enough to give them a go, very scathing of their progress.

Just wait until more is known on Reforms policies on benefits etc, parties rarely attack their own core voters.
The biggest problem a party that attracts nationalist members is...it has nationalist members

The wheels will fall off Reform Ltd when inevitably they start bickering and not delivering
Do we honesty think Prince Andrew could wonder off without the police knowing where he was at all times. If he never had close protection, they where close by.

The police know if Andrew has misbehaved.

Covering up crimes, even for senior figures, must be an offence?
Martin Lewis hit the nail on the head with something I believe Labour are getting wrong.

It's a myth you can spend on services and reduce taxation

I believe we would have accepted a reasonable and fair tax rise IF things got better.

It's the inequality of taxation and things not getting better
Not my part of the county, but I assume Bedford and Cambridge are options for you to visit? Why do make the choices you do?

Bedford should be the winner, if parking costs are the obvious decider, but I feel Cambridge has the better offer ?

Disclaimer have only visited Bedford Station
"Dislike of paying for parking"

There is no logical reason £1 would put someone off visiting yet retailers are still closing in Bedford who went the opposite way.

There must be other factors at play
M&S in Peterborough moved to a retail park, free parking but horrendous traffic and availability on weekends and Friday afternoons. So I avoid. But would have paid £2 to park in city centre. I am put off visiting Hunstanton on summer weekend not by the high parking costs but for the same reasons
The relationship between parking and retail is deeply complex and sadly wrapped up in other agendas. We all have a natural dislike in parking for parking, so free parking is a naturally attractive proposition. But it's deeper than simple cost. Availability will be the first issue
There is no evidence that free parking increases retail spending. It's a case of "Correlation does not imply causation"

Out of town retail parks are busy and offer free parking

The relationship is as much about the retail offer, availability of parking, and the reasons to visit than simple fees.
Yet another email saying i have been a victim of a data breach.

I dont think there is very much left for these companies to lose.

Makes you wonder, whats the point of the ICO as clearly none of these companies fear the regulator enough to actually protect the data.
Its hard to see why people drive private cars in cities such as London, who have a huge number of alternatives and compare that with our rural areas, where I believe you have no credible alternatives.
Thats the point. Modern cars are already tracked or in theory can be tracked.

Charging those who dont have a choice less is clearly advantageous and as long as the scheme isn't a cash grab.
I dont think pay per mile is automatically a bad thing for motorists, however it will need to be clever enough to support those with no alternative against those who do so for convenience.

This would involve tracking

And we lack the maturity to have that discussion
For a generation, people were told to blame Europe for our problems. So we had Brexit.

Now when things don't get better, they are told to blame asylum seekers.

When will they realise maybe it's those telling them what to think to blame ?
Been a victim in yet another data breach.

I am sure the hackers know more about me than I do.

At least the CEO is very sorry.
Ask them why they are blaming Covid for the fiasco that is the unfinished Hilton hotel on Covid, then the money was lent in 2017 and the hotel was supposed to be finished by 2019?
100%

Although I recall the only unified voice was leaving the EU would financially be a bad decision.

Cleverly those behind that decision now blame immigration as the reason.

What ever happened to "it will be worth it to regain control?"
Osborne has since said he thinks that he shouldn't have cut investment so severely, however the real boot on the throat of the #ukEconomy, just as it was getting up, was the vote to leave the #EU. We're lying fetal on the floor and #brexit keeps kicking the shit out of us. Thanks #nigelFarage.
The initial reason for the recession was a global issue. The Tories reacted by removing money from the economy.

They starved the economy of investment at exactly the time it needed investment.

Osborne and Cameron got it spectacularly wrong
I sometimes think how frustrating it probably was for Cameron and Osborne. They did everything by the book, and the book says that when you cut the fat and weather the immediate storm, you then get growth and dynamism in response... and that part simply never happened!
For the past 40 days reactionary assaults on the welfare state have been part premised on the idea that welfare is a corrupting force that erodes values and then they cut it, everything gets a bit worse and values don't change.
Why is it a surprise that immigration is the " #1 issue" when people are constantly being told that immigration is the #1 issue?

So, a party that claims immigration is the number 1 issue and claims to fix this, is popular?

Yet the Labour Party appears unwilling to do anything to change this
Contractors removing flags from lamp posts, so they can put up Christmas decorations.

Are these the British Values that are being eroded?
Conservatives in Peterborough risk extinction after the local council elections next year.

Calling in a decision to sell the husk of the Hilton hotel risks this happening

Much better this is all over by the next local elections

Demanding we borrow more money and pray we get more value is absurd
But if you wish to believe in some mystery body running things

They learnt one thing from Covid.

If you want to get rid of 10/20% of the population, a far more likely scenario, how would you do it?

Offer a cure!
