This is one of my longtime sleeper special interests lol. Black holes were something Ive always loved reading about ever since I was a kid bc they scare me the same way good horror movies do 😂 but I dont have real education in it or anything so I’m out of my depth trying to explain it to anyone lol

the majority of my trigun hcs involve how the twins' gates work, but that involves like... quantum field theory and the kepler problem, both of which I don't actually actually know enough about to explain lmao. but I saw a diagram of a collapsing star when I was 12 and that seems to fit the bill

True! I've seen some criticism and disappointment here and other places too, but the overall mood was entirely different-- at least what was being fed to me, as a person who doesn't go there often anymore.

I just keep remembering that it took me a few episodes to get into stampede, too. I actively wanted to give it a chance though bc I felt like it had more to give (and the animation was cool) and I'm glad I did! *Most* good stories need more than 1-2 episodes to get to the good stuff

and I'm not saying that we can't be critical or anything... it's just that the entire mood is so extremely dour over there compared to everywhere else, logging in was like a slap in the face lol. I knew it would be bad, but it really shocked me!

I totally believe it. I wonder if it's gotten worse over the course of the last several years due to the short-forming of everything... it feels like people totally forget how to engage with full stories anymore, esp over platforms where criticism gains more credibility and traction.
